New Life Fellowship began in 2006 under the leadership of Wesley Freeman. Members first met at City Hall and then at the Middle School until a building was purchased from the Holden United Methodist Church located at 400 S. Main. In 2008, Michael Wakeman took over pastoral duties.

New Life Fellowship is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention.

New Life Fellowship is a member of the West Central Baptist Association.

New Life Fellowship celebrated 15 years in the summer of 2021.
